Who do I contact if I have questions about registration, enrollment and payment?

You can always access your Parent Portal through our website. Through the Portal, you can adjust your child’s profile, make payments, and access additional resources. If you would prefer to speak with a live person, you can call our Parent Hotline at 866-239-3661. Changes to your child’s attendance schedule must be submitted through Customer Service by Monday of the week prior.

Does my child have to attend every day?

Your child is welcome to attend as much or little as your lifestyle allows. Unlike other before and after school providers, you will not be penalized or have to pay more if your child does not attend regularly. At Innovation Learning, you control your costs by deciding when to use the program and you only pay for the days your child is scheduled to attend.

How are food allergies and dietary restrictions handled?

We offer a wide variety of healthy options for breakfast and snacks. All of the food we provide is peanut-free. As part of our registration process, we ask parents to indicate whether their child has food allergies so we can cater to the individual dietary needs of each of our students. Our staff also carries iPads loaded with essential enrollment information which is updated in real time.

How do I know that my child is in safe hands?

We adhere to state licensing standards wherever we operate. We use state mandated processes to obtain licensing and to conduct thorough background checks for all of our staff. All staff are also required to undergo First Aid and CPR certification training.

What do I do if I forget my PIN?

You can recover your PIN at any time through our secure Parent Portal. You can also use the portal to generate a new PIN for additional pick-up persons. If you prefer to speak with a live person, you can call our Parent Hotline (866-239-3661). Please be ready to answer a number of questions to verify your identity when you call in.

What are the typical credentials of your staff?

All Site Coordinators hired after the 2017-18 school year hold (at minimum) a 4-year college degree including six hours education/child development coursework and three years' experience working with children. Each site also has at least one licensed elementary or middle school teacher on staff. We require a minimum of twenty hours of in-service yearly in Innovation Learning methodology, child growth/development, First Aid, CPR, mandated reporting, health and safety, medication administration and universal precautions.

How are your programs customizable?

We know that no two schools are alike. The Innovation Learning team consists of experts in STEM learning, Recreation, Physical Fitness, Play, Enrichment, K – 8 Education and Early Childhood Education. Before we implement a program, we gather a variety of information from administrators and stakeholders to determine the wants and needs of each school community. Based on this information, we draft an Individualized Program Plan for the school to review. Administration can then edit the program if necessary to fit their community’s needs. The result is a fully customizable program that your school community can be proud of.

How do you ensure a high level of safety in your programs?

We put a good deal of resource in establishing ourselves as a leader in program safety. We offer a number of program features that place us on the cutting edge and serves as a primary reason why we have an exemplary track record. These features include:

  • Low Staff to Student Ratio - All of our programs exceed licensing standards for the purpose of ensuring the utmost supervision.
  • First Aid and CPR - We exceed licensing standards by ensuring that all our staff are trained in CPR and First Aid. They are also trained in Universal Precautions and Medicine Administration. All of our programs have a nurse practitioner on staff to support the program and answer any questions that might arise.
  • Technology - We leverage technology to enhance the safety of our programs. Our staff carries iPads as part of our program administration. These iPads house all registration, enrollment and medical information provided by parents at enrollment. Parents authorized for pick-up are assigned a unique PIN that serves as an identifier and is entered on a dedicated iPad which is matched against photo identification.
  • Share 911 - Share 911 is a digital emergency network that connects all of our teachers and personnel (both on the district level and at our headquarters), so everyone on the network can share information as quickly as possible during an emergency.
What is your Delayed Opening/Weather Closure Policy?

Innovation Learning will open at the school’s discretion, please check with your Area Director for your specific school’s policy. If your school closes early due to weather, Innovation Learning is Closed too.

How do I decide between daily, monthly, and drop-in rates?

Innovation Learning offers a variety of opportunities for families to schedule according to their specific needs. We do not lock our families into a specific number of days in an effort to ensure the highest level of flexibility. You can schedule your child one day a week, one day a month or one day a year.

Registration Fees - Registration fees are nonrefundable payments applicable to the entire school year or summer programming. If a parent chooses to cancel any programming options or withdraw their child from the program at any time, Innovation Learning retains this fee. Should programming be canceled or delayed by Innovation Learning, the Registration Fee will remain on the families' account until the end of the year for use when programming resumes.

Do you have Late Payment Fees?

A $25.00 fee may be charged for any payment that is returned unpaid by your bank or credit/debit card company for any reason. This fee will be the maximum allowable fee in accordance with the state of enrollment and attendance. This fee will be added to the balance due.

Do you offer Full Day Programs?

Some Innovation Learning locations offer full day programming on the days when regular school is not in session. These days include some holidays, school vacations and teacher work and conference days. To find out whether or not your school will be open during a holiday, vacation or teacher conference day you can access the Parent Portal and our on-line calendar. Parents will also be notified via email when programs are offered on Vacation Days. Each site will need to have a minimum number of participants enrolled to warrant being open on the Vacation Day. This decision will be made one week prior to the vacation day based on enrollment numbers.

Who do I contact if I have questions about my child’s program?

All of our sites have a Site Coordinator on site who oversees the program at your child’s school. The Site Coordinator is available to answer any questions you have regarding your child’s program and their participation. You can connect with them by email, their cell phone (which they carry with them at all times) or by visiting with them on site. You will receive your Site Coordinator’s contact information when you register your child. However, if you do not have your Site Coordinator’s contact information or if have difficulty contacting them, you can contact our Parent Hotline at 866-239-3661.

Can your program accommodate children with special needs?

Innovation Learning was developed with a mandate to include and empower students with special needs. Our founder is a former special education teacher who helped to start four schools for students with disabilities. He also holds a doctorate in special education and served as Co-Chair of the Colorado Special Education Advisory Committee (which advises the Colorado State Board of Education on issues pertaining to special education). We take every measure to provide accommodations for students with special needs and allocate resources to ensure that they are able to participate in our programs to include the hiring of special educators to work in our programs.

Innovation Learning accepts state vouchers in some states we operate in. If you are unsure of how to access such assistance, we have personnel who are experts and can assist you in completing an application and submitting it to the state. What do I need to bring to pick up my child at the end of the day?

At Innovation Learning, we take safety very seriously and we incorporate a variety of methods to keep your children safe. We will only release students to those authorized through the registration process and/or who have been formally entered in to your child’s account. Each person authorized for pick up will receive their own Personal Identification Number (PIN) which they must enter into a dedicated iPad at the sign-out table. Additionally, you will also be asked to show a picture identification at the time of entering your PIN.

Do you accept payment on site?

For safety reasons, we unequivocally do not accept payment of any kind on site. Our staff has been informed that they are not to accept payment and are prohibited from doing so. This allows parents to register, enroll and pay at their convenience from any internet-enabled device. They simply click on the orange “Enroll or Login” button on the top right hand corner of our web site and follow the instructions. For those parents who do not have access to technology, they can contact our Parent Hotline and speak with a Parent Support Representative who will be happy to help them.

How do you combat staff turnover which is so prevalent with other organizations?

We hire more full-time site level staff than other providers, because we know that when staff are full time they are committed to their work and the school community. We use their additional hours to give back to the school community, thereby increasing their level of commitment. We like to hire school day teachers and teacher assistants, ensuring that we are hiring staff who are also committed to the school community. Our staff also receives over 20 hours of training per year so they are well prepared and supported in their work.
